My name is Georgie, but I also go by Gina or Gina G!. Most people call me Georgie, though… it’s just easier!
I’m super laid-back. If you had to ask someone to describe my personality with only one word, that’s probably the word they would use. It’s almost impossible to offend me. I love chatting to people of all ages. I studied graphic design for 2 years and am still working in branding and design with Creative By George but Creative By George Photography is booming and is full on. Photography is my first love and now photography is my happiest production time.

Lifestyle photography is a genre of photography that mainly aims to capture portraits of people in situations, real-life events, or milestones in an artistic manner. The primary goal is to tell stories about peo- ple’s lives or to inspire people at different times. Creative by George photography is ready to roll to bring this to life for you.
So what is this thing called Lifestyle Photography?
A term that photographers throw around a lot is “lifestyle photography,” but if you’re not a photographer, you might not have any idea what this even means. So I’m going to break it down for you and explain what exactly is lifestyle photography and why Creative By George Photography is your answer.
First, what are some examples of what lifestyle photography isn’t?
Lifestyle photography is technically a form of portrait photography, but the word portrait just sounds so stiff to me When you think of getting a portrait taken, you’re probably envisioning sitting on a stool with your back straight, hands in your lap, smiling sweetly at the camera. Your photographer directs you to move your head just slightly at a different angle. That’s all a bit to contrived so I aim to make it much more fun and relaxed.
But on the other end, you have documentary photography, which is pretty much just letting things happen as they will and not directing anything at all. So you show up to someone’s house and you take pho- tos of a family’s daily life without interfering at all. So there is a happy medium to work between these lines to create a natural photograph that speaks to you or your family.
So what exactly is Lifestyle Photography?
Lifestyle photography is somewhere in between portrait photography and documentary. Lifestyle is more about capturing a moment. It’s about photographing emotions and connection. But the photographer doesn’t just leave it up to the family to know exactly what to do, they will provide gentile direction.
Sometimes we may give a prompt and leave it open to interpretation so the family can make it their own. Other times we may set a family up into a pose, but then tell them to do something sweet or silly to get everyone interacting. Or we will have games for them to play to get everyone having fun together.
If you’re looking for photos that tell the story of your family…
If cuddling with your family and having photos that show your relationships with each of your family members sounds like something you would love to display in your home…
If you crave photos that show genuine laughter, fun, and interaction between your family… then lifestyle photography is going to be right for you. Yay!
Capturing authentic moments between families is our main goal during family photos. And the key to making those moments happen in your family photos is simple: just be yourself! Let go of perfection, be in the moment, and let the kids be kids. This isn’t about stiff smiles, matching outfits, and every hair perfectly in place. It’s about genuine connection, belly laughs, and hair flying.
For business photography we still want to create a relaxed feel for you and your business vibe. What Photos Should I take?
Need some help brain storming what photographs you should actually take during your session? Don’t want to look like everyone else, or have that stock photo feel? Want to blow your socials away? A well planned session can yield much better results, and knowing your goals for your photos can help me to craft the best results for you. An hour of brain storming is included with every half day and full day pack- age. I’ll work with you to come up with a shot list and shooting schedules that will fit into your personal brand and maximise your shooting time.
Location or Studio photography?
I specialise in on-location photography. That means coming to your place of work and showing that off. Whether that be cafe, office, outback, workshop, etc. I also take natural headshots outdoors, in your space and during my natural headshot days.
Want a studio feel? Depending on your exact needs, we can either hire a space or I can bring portable studio lighting to you. This works well for small scale, studio-style work. Such as headshots, products shots or small detail photography.
Natural Photography? Natural photography is not “perfect” or glossy, it’s not overly staged or posed. It’s real, authentic and full of love. Love for your family, your friends, your community or the world and nature. It’s certainly not photoshopped or face-tuned, just a natural edit to bring out the best colours and tones in the photo. My photography is all the light, the location and the feel of the day – I still love a gorgeous location and a great brief to get us on the right track.
So for your Air BNB, your home, your workshop, hotel, motel, restaurant OR products like skin care, floristry, candles, sculptures, homewares, art, furniture please don’t hesitate to call Creative By George Photography!
